Leagues
The Granite Curling Club offers many leagues that cater to a wide range of skill levels and competitive interests. With so many choices, there's sure to be a league that's just right for you! Don't forget that curling is a social activity as well; after each game, teams head upstairs to chat, quench their thirst, and (depending on the league) eat.
Leagues are divided into two types: Manager's Choice (MC) and Skip's Choice (SC). For Manager's Choice leagues, curlers sign up as individuals and the league manager puts them together into balanced teams based on skill levels and experience; for Skip's Choice leagues, curlers form a team and sign up as a team. You may have any ratio of men and women on a team, playing positions in any order, except for the Wednesday Women's, Thursday Men's, Sunday Mixed Doubles, and Sunday Mixed leagues. If you're new to curling, you'll want to start with a Manager's Choice league, such as the Sunday Open league.
In the list below, multiple game times mean you will play at one of the times listed depending on the week. Schedules are available prior to the start of league play, and all leagues have a substitute roster in case you need to miss a game.

Social Leagues

| Friday Juniors | MC | 4:15pm | Open to all curlers under 21 years of age. All Junior U16 members are automatically enrolled in this league. |
| Friday Night Open | MC | 6:30pm, 8:30pm, 10:30pm | A fun way to kick off your weekend. The late games, plus after-game festivities, run well past midnight. |
| Sunday Open | MC | 2:00pm, 4:00pm | A great league for novice curlers; beginners are matched with experienced curlers to help with skill development and to ensure an excellent learning environment. |

| Wednesday Women's | SC | 6:30pm, 8:30pm | Women only. Sign up as a team, or as an individual and be matched to a team. The first half of the season is round-robin play, and teams are grouped by skill level for the second half. |
| Thursday Men's | SC | 5:00pm, 7:00pm, 9:00pm | Men only. Sign up as a team and get arranged into brackets based on skill level. Re-rankings take place throughout the season. Game times are dependent on the total number of teams; see page 3 of the July 2010 Chips of Granite for more information. |
| Sunday Mixed Doubles | SC | 12:00pm | Two person teams - one man, one woman - and modified rules make this a great league for experienced curlers, but not for beginners. The season is only 3 months (Oct-Dec). Game time adjusts weekly; see the Calendar for more information. |
| Sunday Mixed | SC | 6:00pm, 8:00pm | Sign up as a team of two men and two women. |
