Congratulations to all the Granite Curling Club teams who participated in the Pacific International Cup curling championships in Richmond, BC this past weekend. In a great showing, all three Seattle teams earned medals in the international division. The WA1 women's team (Em Good, Jill Lamberts, Jennifer Westhagen, Hannah Volkman and Elle Lebeau) earned the number 1 seed with a 6-1 record in the round robin and won the gold medal in the International divison. They lost in the PIC Championship game to Island North, as the medalists from each bracket faced off for the Cup.

The WA2 women (Miyo Konno, Nancy Richard, Claire Bonin, Kris Ikegami) won the Silver Medal in the International Bracket- losing to WA1 in the gold medal game. They finished 4th with 4-3 record, but Minnesota had to withdraw prior to the playoffs, leaving them a spot. They beat Alaska in the 2-3 game (avenging their round robin loss).

GCC's representative on the men's side (Doug Kauffman, John Rasmussen, Ken Trask, and Andrea Callegari) won the Bronze Medal in the Men's International Bracket. They lost to Alaska in the 2-3 game when Doug's last rock picked. They finished 5-2 in the round robin and got the #2 spot.
