Junior and Senior State Championships

Format

Juniors (Men, Women, and Exhibition)

Best of 5 game series.  The winner of the Junior Men and Junior Women represent Washington at the US Junior National Championships.  The Junior Exhibition series is a demonstration event that does not advance to any further competitions.

Senior Men

Single round-robin with double-knockout provision in effect (a team may not be eliminated with fewer than two losses).  The winner will be declared Washington Senior Men's Champion.

Rules of Play

Juniors games will be timed and 10-ends plus extra end(s) if necessary.  Seniors games will be 8-ends and will not be timed.

Team listed second on draw schedule will have RED rocks and SECOND practice, except those games marked with (f) will flip for choice of practice time or color.

First practice begins 30 minutes prior to the scheduled draw time.  Second practice begins 20 minutes prior to the scheduled draw time.  Practice consists of 1 minute of sliding, followed by 6 minutes of delivery and sweeping.  After your practice one player from each team shall deliver a Last Stone Draw (LSD).  The team with the shortest distance has choice to deliver first or second in the first end.  For Senior Men's games, the LSD will be recorded and Draw Shot Challenge (DSC) may be necessary for tiebreaker rankings.  Teams not available for practice receive an LSD of 73 (inches).
