Teams Good, Larway win State Club Championships

Em Good, Jennifer Westhagen, Christie Wilhelmy, Hannah Volkman, and Jill Lamberts defeated Miyo Konno, Kris Ikegami, Claire Bonin, and Jiyoung Lee 3-1 in a best of five series to take the women's state club championship. Joel Larway, Benj Guzman, Peter Sommer, and Chad Siefert took the men's by defeating Doug Kauffman, John Rasmussen, Liam Barksdale, Andrea Callegari, and Bill Rugen in a second playoff game after the three teams played a double round-robin to a three-way tie. They won the first playoff game against Jake Vukich, Evan McAuley, Luc Violette, Kyle Lorvick, Ben Richardson, and Tom Violette (coach) by forfeit. Complete Results.

The club nationals this year are February 15-22 at the Two Harbors Curling Club in Two Harbors, Minnesota. Teams Good and Larway also get a spot at the Pacific International Cup in Richmond BC in April.
