Granite Curling Club is in North Seattle's Haller Lake Neighborhood - between Aurora Ave N and I-5.

Save the Date: USA Curling Member's Assembly

Mark your calendars for USA Curling's Annual Assembly from October 13-14, 2023. The assembly will be hosted in Bloomington, MN; however, all activities will be streamed and available through USA Curling's YouTube channel.

On Friday, October 13 at 5 pm (PT), there will be an Annual Members’ Meeting. The Annual Members’ Meeting will include a vote to ratify changes to the bylaws of the organization related to the proposed new USA Curling Membership Model. On October 14 from 8-2 pm (PT), there will be programming that includes seminars and panel discussions related to Member Club operations, outreach, retention, skills development, and awards presentations.

Job Opening: Group Events Assistant Coordinator

The Group Events Assistant Coordinator role is a part-time position aimed at helping the coordinator provide the best possible experience for our staff and clients. The position runs for ~10 months out of the year with minimal work over the summer while the curling club is closed. The employee is expected to complete a minimum of 6 hours of admin duties per week (during the season), and when interested/available, they can collect additional working hours as a host or instructor at our events. The wage is $23.00 per hour.

Interested in Becoming a GCC Member?

If you are interested in joining as a new curler, click here to learn more information. General registration opens on September 4 at 6 pm, and closes on September 14 at 8 pm. If you've never been a member, you'll need to apply for an account on our website before registering for leagues and bonspiels (see membership). Account approval takes a day, so don't wait until the last minute.

All new members are also encouraged to attend GCC Member Orientation, scheduled for Saturday, September 23 from 6-7 pm. Come learn all about the club, the ice, how to get connected, and how to make the most of your membership.

Registration for PNWCA 5&U Opens on Friday, September 1 (8 am)

Registration for Pacific Northwest Curling Association's 3rd Annual 5 & Under is opening this Friday, September 1st at 8 am. This event, scheduled for November 18-20, 2023 at Granite Curling Club is expected to be very popular this season, so sign up early. Priority event registration is open to teams from PNWCA member clubs until 5 pm on September 15th.

Upcoming Pebbling Clinics

Calling all GCC Members: Our spectacular ice crew is hosting multiple pebbling clinics over the next few weeks. Don't miss your opportunity to participate. The course is 1.5 hours long, and you'll need your curling shoes and warm clothes for the ice. Volunteering on the ice crew for your league is an easy way to get your volunteer hours.
