Granite Reopening Set for August 27th

August 1, 2021 - 11:09pm -- Cindy Vasey

After nearly 18 months, Granite Curling Club of Seattle is excited to announce our reopening schedule. League registration for those who were active members in the 2019-20 season is now open. Registration opens for all others on August 15th.

Visit the GCC registration page (member log-in required) for more information, costs, and the online registration form. The complete list of leagues can be found on the leagues page.

To celebrate the reopening, the club will host two member parties, the first on August 27th, and the second on September 10th. Each celebration will include a chance for new and returning members to meet, greet, and enjoy the improvements to the club. Both parties will begin at 6:00 PM. Additional details to be announced.

In an effort to keep everyone safe and healthy the Granite Board has adopted reopening policies, including the GCC COVID-19 Policy. Developed to be consistent with current government guidelines, unambiguous, and reasonably enforceable, the policies will be in place for all members and visitors to the club for as long as the pandemic continues. When registering for membership and leagues, you will be asked to agree to, and abide by, these policies.

The club is also pleased to host the US Olympic Team Trial qualifying event, scheduled for September 3-6. Winners of this regional competition will qualify to travel to Omaha, NE in November to play in the US Olympic Team Trials. Additional details, including information on volunteering for the event, will be available soon.
