Board Statement: GCC’s Commitment to Inclusion
Recently, USA Curling issued a press release detailing changes they are planning to make to their Transgender Participation Policy and Guidance in response to the United States Olympic and Paralympic implementation of Executive Order 14201. Despite changes at national and international competitions, Granite Curling Club will continue to adhere to the 2021 revision of the USA Curling Transgender Participation Policy and Guidance.
Granite Curling Club of Seattle remains committed to supporting our transgender and non-binary curlers and will continue to enable their participation in our leagues and bonspiels.
We will not be restricting the participation of transgender women in women's or mixed curling leagues and bonspiels at our club due to their gender. We will also continue to provide a curling facility that allows our transgender and non-binary curlers access to safe and protective spaces that align with their gender expression.

Leagues run mid-Sept 2025 through April 2026 - see league descriptions here. Registration opens Aug 21 at 6 pm.
2024-25 Season Members
Returning members get points for playing last season, and as a result, benefit from a priority window during registration. From Aug 21 to the priority registration deadlines, slots are assigned based on points, and lotteries are held for oversubscribed leagues. For our competitive leagues (i.e., Tuesday Super and Thursday Mixed Doubles), additional points detailed in the Oversubscription Policy are also used to address oversubscription.
Priority Registration Deadlines
Aug 28 at 8 pm - Competitive leagues (Tuesday Super & Thursday Doubles)
Sept 3 at 8 pm - All other leagues
New Members
If you didn’t play last season, you’re encouraged to register early, but an official spot won’t be assigned to you until registration reopens on Sept 7 at 6 pm. After that, remaining spots are first-come, first-served.
Important Note: You need a GCC account to register! Instructions can be found at the bottom of the Membership page. Email the Leagues Coordinator if you need help with choosing one!

GCC marches in Seattle Pride

Granite Curling Club marched in the Seattle Pride Parade for the 4th year in a row!
Huge thanks to all the curlers who came out to share the spirit of curling with the broader community. From colorful brooms to pun-tastic apparel, we were proud to show that curling is for everyone.
