The Granite Curling Club (GCC) was founded in Seattle in 1961, and since then teams (or "rinks" as they are called in curling) from GCC have captured more national championships than any other club in the United States. But don't think that GCC is only for world-caliber athletes; there are leagues for people of all skill levels and ages. GCC is the only dedicated curling facility on the west coast of the USA.
GCC puts ice in each September, and the "regular season" runs from October through March each year. There is a "spring season" with reduced activities from April through June, and no curling in July and August. During the regular and spring seasons, there are many Leagues, Bonspiels (competitions), and Open Houses. You're welcome to come out and participate, compete, or just watch the action.
The club facility is also available for Group Events throughout the regular and spring seasons. In addition to curling, there is a full bar and banquet hall that can be rented, which makes a great corporate outing, office party, birthday party, or other event! We have a full kitchen, 5 sheets of ice, a second floor observation area, video displays to watch the action at the far end of the sheets, and much more. See Group Events for more information.
No matter what your interest, come out to GCC to see our sport and our facility.
