Update: Repairs to the interior of the building are very nearly complete. The box on sheet 1 will come down on Tuesday! However, sheet 1 will remain unusable for the remainder of the regular season. Our ice crew has scheduled a flood on April 3. Sheet 1 will only be usable after a lot of work, including the flood. We have chosen not to bring the date of the flood forward because it would cause more interruption to leagues - and our league managers have already done a ton of work to rearrange league schedules. Therefore, sheet 1 will not be usable until April 4 at the earliest.

Brady Clark rink wins 2016 National Men’s Championship Title

(JACKSONVILLE, Fla.) – Seattle’s Brady Clark rink won the men’s final of the 2016 USA Curling National Championships in convincing fashion with a 10-4 victory over John Shuster tonight at Veterans Memorial Arena.

It was the third time the two sides met this week with Clark (Lynnwood, Wash.) and his team of Greg Persinger (Fairbanks, Alaska), Colin Hufman (Seattle), and Philip Tilker (Seattle) prevailing all three times against Shuster’s defending champions.

Trask wins State Club Championship

With a come from behind win in a playoff, Ken Trask, Duane Rutan, Peter Sommer, and Steve Lundeen won the Men's State Club Championship this evening. They and the women's team, Miyo Konno, Sara Skulec, Nicole Samson, Aryn Grause, Gina Triolo, and Leslie Frosch (Coach), move on to the National Club Championships in Bismarck March 5-12.

GCC set to host 2017 National Championships in Everett

The most competitive curling event in the U.S. will return to the Seattle area for the first time in 20 years as Xfinity Arena in Everett hosts the 2017 USA Curling National Championships.

In partnership with the Granite Curling Club of Seattle and Snohomish County, the 2017 Nationals take place Feb. 11-18, 2017.

Washington’s Luc Violette rink wins U.S. Youth Olympic Team Trials

Time – often an overlooked thing to a curling bystander. But, time was the unofficial fifth man for Seattle’s Luc Violette rink as Riley Fenson’s team couldn’t get off the final shot of the game to try to score a point to send the game to an extra end this afternoon as the 2016 U.S. Youth Olympic Team Trials for Curling came to a close.

Team Sieg is USCA Team of the Year

Lyle Sieg's world senior championship rink is USA Curling's Team of the Year for 2015. In addition, three-time Olympian John Shuster (Duluth, Minn.) and 2012 Youth Olympian and reigning junior and mixed doubles national champion Sarah Anderson (Broomall, Pa.) have earned top individual honors for the 2014-15 season.

Annual General Meeting - Saturday May 16

Our Annual General Meeting, coming up on Saturday May 16. Dinner starts at 5 pm, and the meeting starts at 7. You do not have to have dinner to participate in the meeting (though Bitterroot is catering so you know it will be delicious!). The cost for dinner is $30 and may be paid by sending in or dropping off a cheque, requesting a PayPal invoice, or paying at the event.

Brady Clark rink to represent US at inaugural Mixed World Curling Championships

- Washington's Brady Clark captured his 10th mixed title with wife Cristin Clark after defeating Wisconsin's Sean Murray, 9-2, on Saturday afternoon at the 2015 USA Curling Mixed National Championship in Blaine, Minn.

The Clarks, who won their first title in 2002, and teammates Sean Beighton (Seattle) and Jillian Walker (Seattle) will now represent the U.S. at the inaugural World Mixed Championship Sept. 12-19 in Berne, Switzerland.
