Team Clark wins State Mixed again; will head to US Mixed Nationals

Brady Clark and his wife Cristin (Lynnwood, WA) have won more national championships curling together (12) than any other duo in the history of United States Curling. They will look to add another title to that list in 2013, as they will represent the State of Washington at the 2013 US Mixed Curling Championships, March 16-23 in Wilmar, Minnesota.

Women's Challenge Round Wraps up - Clark moves on to nationals

The Women's Challenge round was January 17-21 here at GCC. It featured fourteen teams from across the country competing in a triple knockout for six slots at the national championship February 9-16 in Green Bay. GCC members Cristin Clark, Patti Killins, Christina Pastula, and Christie Wilhelmy took one of those positions. New GCC member Kendall Moulton-Behm is a member of the Carlson team - which took another position.

5 & Under Spiel March 2nd/3rd

The 5 and Under Spiel is set for March 2nd and 3rd. Registration will be open as of 7pm on Sunday Jan 6th. This spiel is open for curlers with a combined years of 5 years curling experience or less. This includes years you have curled at other clubs and this season. Individual Sign Ups only as teams will be formed by the spiel chair. Due to this spiels popularity, the entry fee of $50 is due at sign up to secure your spot.

Good and Kauffman win State Club Championships - again

Em Good, Jill Lamberts, Jennifer Westhagen, and Hannah Volkman won the Washington Women's Club Championship on Sunday afternoon by finishing with an undefeated record. It took a playoff game on Monday for Doug Kauffman, John Rasmussen, Ken Trask, and Liam Barksdale to finally claim the men's title.

Holiday Spiel wraps up

The Holiday Spiel featured amazing food and costumes for the whole weekend. First place in the ugly sweater contest went to Scrabble-mas with matching lettered costumes reminiscent of Dr. Seuss. Second place went to Rugen Claus. Third went to the Who's - also with a Dr. Seuss flavor. Barbequed ribs made a great dinner from Canyon's restaurant.

New champion to be crowned at US Mixed Doubles Nationals in Bismarck

Minnesota rinks move on to quarterfinals at Mixed Doubles Championship in Bismarck

(BISMARCK, N.D.) - There will be a new team wearing USA gear at the upcoming World Mixed Doubles Championship as two Minnesota rinks survived the quarterfinals this morning at the 2013 USA Curling Mixed Doubles National Championship at the Capital Curling Club.

St. Paul Curling Club teammates Tim Doherty (St. Paul, Minn.) and Carol Strojny (Mendota Heights, Minn.) defeated the defending champions Brady and Cristin Clark of Washington, 8-5, to move on to the semifinals.
