Granite Reopening Set for August 27th

After nearly 18 months, Granite Curling Club of Seattle is excited to announce our reopening schedule. League registration for those who were active members in the 2019-20 season is now open. Registration opens for all others on August 15th.

Joan Potter: 1929-2021

Joan Potter, a long time GCC member, died on June 15 at the end of more than three years suffering from Alzheimer's disease. She is survived by her son Doug, daughter-in-law Karen Brattesani, and grandson Galan, all GCC members, as well as a daughter and five other grandchildren.

Bob Carson: 1943-2021

Bob Carson 1943 to 2021

Robert (Bob) Carson, a long-time member & former President of Granite Curling Club, passed away peacefully on June 12th surrounded by his loved ones. He was a true asset for GCC, both as President and as a member volunteer. He was responsible for a lot of club remodeling and growth during his tenure. For many years Bob was a regular Official at Regional Championships – one more way he gave back to the sport he loved.

Granite Curling Club is extremely pleased to announce the selection of Doug Potter and Keith Schreiber to the US team preparing for the USCA 2022 Scot Tour. This long standing tradition of competition and camaraderie occurs every decade and takes place over a 21 day period of time. The event is scheduled for January 7-31, 2022 sponsored by the Royal Caledonian Curling Club of Scotland. The last American Men's Scotland Tour team went to Scotland in 2012 and being victorious, has retained the trophy since.
